World Instability Grows . . . Biden’s Faltering Image Encourages Volatility On Global Scene

August 9, 2023 Frontpage No Comments

By DEXTER DUGGAN

A Reuters news service video posted July 28 showed North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un reviewing a military parade, standing shoulder to shoulder with visiting Russian and Chinese officials. As missiles rolled by on carriages, the men stood amid lines of elderly-looking military officers with their chests covered with medals.
The medals plastered all over their chests probably would have provided as much protection as bulletproof vests. Did they earn these medals maybe 40 years ago? Or are medals still awarded at their ages for being able to tie their shoes?
An Associated Press story posted July 27 said that Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu was visiting “to discuss military issues and the regional security environment, [North Korean] state media said . . . , illustrating Pyongyang’s support for Russia’s war in Ukraine as the isolated country celebrated the 70th anniversary of an armistice that halted fighting in the 1950-53 Korean War.”
The AP story said festivities associated with the Russian’s visit were to be highlighted by the upcoming military parade “where Kim — possibly in the presence of Shoigu and a visiting Chinese ruling-party official — could showcase his most powerful, nuclear-capable missiles designed to threaten neighboring rivals and the United States.”
It wasn’t like the days a few years ago when Republican President Donald Trump with his strong image visited with Kim, who was delighted to share the spotlight with the U.S. president and to appear conciliatory when the authoritative-appearing Trump had flown over to the Koreas to pay Kim some attention.
How times have changed after the U.S. elite decided they knew better than the voters and shoved aside Trump in favor of befuddled, decaying Democrat bad Catholic Joe Biden in 2020.
However, it wouldn’t be accurate to say that the White House these days has only an image of weakness with its president who stumbles and mumbles around.
The executive mansion projects some definite strengths, including trying to force moral depravity and extreme leftist politics on the U.S. and the world, trying to strip Americans of their energy-power resources, overwhelm this country with unending millions of poor illegal entrants demanding taxpayer money, and generally trying to reduce the U.S. to a third-rate status.
Aggressive behavior wanted? There’s the self-indulgent first family’s vicious German Shepherd dogs that repeatedly bit the very Secret Service agents assigned to protect them around the White House.
Why were the dogs allowed there? Me-first Joe Biden reportedly likes the breed. Maybe he admires the strength in these ferocious canines that he lacks himself.
Meanwhile, as being reported from liberal New York City, the Big Apple is stretched beyond capacity with nearly 100,000 needy illegal immigrants that left-wing Biden brought there while U.S. citizens are being denied resources because the lawbreaking entrants receive them instead.
The seriously physically and mentally impaired elderly Biden does encourage adventurism and volatility by opportunists around the world who can’t believe their luck that the U.S. ruling class chose this pathetic, befuddled old man to be the so-called leader of the free world.
Is it a more dangerous world with Biden stumbling and dozing his way through his declining life? For sure. It’s a global version of the thugs in the neighborhood clapping their hands in glee when they see the dazed cop on the beat is nearly 81 years old and can’t even walk his patrol.
International bad actors test how far they can go when they see a geezer with a very light White House work schedule because he doesn’t have the endurance to focus or buckle down. He’s sometimes not even able to chat with visiting foreign leaders in the Oval Office unless he’s sneaking looks at notecards in his lap or head drooping with his need for naps.
At major conferences abroad, Biden sometimes skips the customary formal dinners with other heads of state because he’s exhausted from the effort of just being there and attending some meetings with them.
It’s hard to avoid the conclusion that the world is dangerously closer to a wider war because — probably prime among the hot spots — Russian President Vladimir Putin thought he could get away with invading Ukraine in February 2022, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is determined to show how tough he is by sacrificing his own population to the battles.
At first Zelensky had seemed like an impressive, heroic leader in his green sweatshirt. But as battles amazingly lasted more than a year, with the two sides exchanging missiles and drones, the perilous potential for wider hostilities grew.
On July 31 the London-based Daily Telegraph posted that after a few Ukrainian drones exploded in Moscow, former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev “said that Moscow ‘would be forced’ to use a nuclear weapon if Ukraine’s counter-offensive was a success.”
Russia’s immediate response was two missiles hitting Zelensky’s Ukrainian hometown.
After the strike against Moscow, The Daily Telegraph reported Medvedev said: “Imagine if the…offensive, which is backed by NATO, was a success and they tore off a part of our land, then we would be forced to use a nuclear weapon, according to the rules of a decree from the president of Russia. There would simply be no other option. So, our enemies should pray for our warriors’ [success]. They are making sure that a global nuclear fire is not ignited.”
Someone with the clout of old needs to sit down Putin and Zelensky and demand a negotiated peace.
But it won’t happen with Biden because his hands are full while inflaming the discord — as well as grasping delightful ice-cream cones.
Biden may be a snoozing spectacle much of the time on the international scene, but he’s on board with the Washington, D.C., uniparty’s spending establishment to shovel funding to Zelensky.
Biden’s mistaken efforts to escalate the Russia-Ukraine war with tens of billions of dollars to Kiev alarmed prominent left-wing filmmaker Oliver Stone.
On July 29 Fox News posted: “Filmmaker Oliver Stone lamented on a podcast that he regrets voting for President Joe Biden, noting the president may lead America into World War 3.
“Stone spoke on a recent episode of commentator Russell Brand’s talk show ‘Stay Free’ on Rumble,” Fox News reported. “Stone won international fame for his documentaries, one of which was Ukraine on Fire. This documentary is described on IMDb as one that details the ousting of Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych in a ‘coup d’état’ aided by the United States government in 2014.”
The Fox report went on to quote Stone: “If we don’t stop this, what Biden is doing, this guy is — I voted for him — I made a mistake, I was thinking he was an old man now that he would calm down, that he would be more mellow and so forth, I didn’t see that at all. I see a man who maybe is not in charge of his own administration. Who knows?”
The globalist Council on Foreign Relations posted on July 10: “Since the war began, the Biden administration and the U.S. Congress have directed more than $75 billion in assistance to Ukraine, which includes humanitarian, financial, and military support, according to the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, a German research institute.
“The historic sums are helping a broad set of Ukrainian people and institutions, including refugees, law enforcement, and independent radio broadcasters, though most of the aid has been military-related,” the Council on Foreign Relations admitted.
The Wanderer asked a couple of sources for their view of international volatility now.
Northern California conservative commentator Barbara Simpson said on August 1: “What worries me the most is that our children have not been taught the truth about what it was like during WWII, Vietnam, Korea, etc. We are so close to another such war and they are ignorant about the possibility. Our leaders are not being truthful with Americans.”
Virginia blogger Mary Ann Kreitzer, who runs the commentary at Les Femmes — The Truth, surveyed the scene on August 1 and told The Wanderer: “The world seems to be falling apart. The war in Ukraine continues and our administration seems determined to avoid peace at all costs.
“The administration seems to want to kill the homeless by giving out needles and drugs and encouraging self-destructive behavior,” Kreitzer said. “Things seem to be illustrating the signs of the times described in Matthew’s Gospel with wars, earthquakes, like the undersea quake that is probably responsible for the spike in summer temperatures, etc. Things are a mess!”
The undersea event that Kreitzer referred to was described in a July 31 post at the American Thinker blog headlined, “What NASA and the European Space Agency are admitting but the media are failing to report about our current heat wave.”
It reported a huge undersea volcano erupting in the South Pacific in 2022. NASA reported it under an August 2, 2022, headline, “Tonga Eruption Blasted Unprecedented Amount of Water Into Stratosphere.”
That article noted, “When the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai volcano erupted on January 15, it sent a tsunami racing around the world and set off a sonic boom that circled the globe twice. The underwater eruption in the South Pacific Ocean also blasted an enormous plume of water vapor into Earth’s stratosphere — enough to fill more than 58,000 Olympic-size swimming pools.”
NASA added: “The sheer amount of water vapor could be enough to temporarily affect Earth’s global average temperature.”
The extra water vapor sent skyward encourages a heating effect.
Returning to Kreitzer’s remarks to The Wanderer, she also said: “What’s a body to do? Remember Chesterton’s answer to the question, ‘What’s wrong with the world? I am.’ The best thing I can do is pray, go to Confession, treat others with charity and remember that all is in God’s hands. Worry is useless; what’s needed is hope. God is trustworthy and He loves us.”
Eager to expand their influence around the globe, nations including Russia and China welcome a generally weak U.S.
To reverse this decline, Washington needn’t stick its fingers into problems worldwide. It just needs to project the image — like a strong police force in a city or a strong military on the world stage — that you better not mess with the law enforcers.
It’s known that Communist China funneled millions of dollars into the greedy Biden family’s pockets.
What did it buy with that? What did Joe Biden, with his hostility toward U.S. well-being, agree to on the ambitious Communist blueprint for expansion around the globe?
Meanwhile, at the end of July, when a coup had overthrown the government in Niger, Russian flags were waved. Landlocked Niger, like much of Africa, used to be under colonialist control.
If a person wouldn’t have thought of Russian flags being hoisted in Africa, an Associated Press story posted July 30 gave some background.
“Demonstrators in Niger are openly resentful of France, and Russia is seen by some as a powerful alternative,” the AP said. “The nature of Russia’s involvement in the rallies, if any, isn’t clear but some protesters have carried Russian flags, along with signs reading ‘Down with France’ and supporting Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“The Russian mercenary group Wagner is operating in neighboring Mali, and under Putin Russia has expanded its influence in West Africa,” the story said. “The new junta’s leaders have not said whether they intend to ally themselves with Moscow or stick with Niger’s Western partners.”

Now more than ever, vehicles like The Wanderer are needed for clarification and guidance on the issues of the day.
