You Think It’s Hot Here?… Limitless God Sets Limits On What Badly Sinful Leaders Get Away With

July 26, 2023 Frontpage No Comments

By DEXTER DUGGAN

PHOENIX — Mid-July’s heat wave blazing in locations around the globe including Phoenix recalled one day and night I spent in Death Valley’s Furnace Creek, Calif., which reportedly had set marks for the highest recorded daytime, ground-surface and nighttime temperatures in the world — although none of these at the time I was there.
Other locations never went as high as 134 degrees (Furnace Creek) or 122 degrees (Phoenix), but people elsewhere still knew how enveloping high-pressure systems made them feel.
I was in a group making a walk to call attention to the pro-life cause more than 40 years ago. And we spent the night in a modern, Western-style hotel at Furnace Creek with a breakfast buffet, not sleeping on the ground or eating from a knapsack. The lowest elevation in North America was nearby, nearly 300 feet below sea level, overseen by the towering Panamint Range of mountains.
I’ve tried to find an archived story or two I wrote then, but no luck from that pre-Internet time.
We walked along the street in the city of Las Vegas then rode westward to continue walking through the Nevada desert, then into California.
It was shortly before an Election Day in the relatively cooler time of October or November, and we were devoted to the long haul for the pro-life cause.
But who could have realized how fiercely dedicated the pro-abortion establishment would be to maintaining its slaughter, so that it would take decades longer, until June 2022, for the Supreme Court’s Dobbs opinion to reverse 1973’s made-up deceptions of Wade and Bolton
And even now the abortion warriors scream in defiance that they never would admit any error and would keep slaying as many preborn babies as they could as widely as they could, no matter how baseless the stratagems they had to cook up to continue their slaughter of the innocent.
Would we have been deterred back during the first decade after Wade and Bolton had been invented if we knew how long we’d need to keep making the effort? (And still must keep making it today against the abortionist army.)
And, to think hypothetically, what if we were told that we would have to pass those decades before Dobbs not in modern homes and offices but outdoors continuously in Death Valley? In other words, a little bit sort of like in the adversities of Hell, although doing the work of Heaven.
I say “a little bit” because visions of the actual Hell have been said to show a far worse place in every way. Including the dimension of everlasting time.
It would be bad enough to be sentenced to, say, 10,000 years in Hell, but the virtue of hope would at least allow the sufferers to know the time finally would come when they’d be released. But what about the actual Hell, where the unrepentant mortal sinners are told to “abandon all hope” because they are to exist in an ever-present moment of unending torment.
It’s not just year after year in Hell. But — like the immeasurable everlasting existence of bliss in Heaven — the current moment never ends that the person is in.
We can’t presume to know who is in either Hell or Heaven — aside from some obvious exceptions like God, angels and saints, and the opposites of Satan and demons — but we know that the Bible and tradition say Hell is real and that people on Earth continuously are warned by God’s word to avoid choosing a type of life that leads to Hell.

Nathanson In A State Of Grace

It’s not that God would condemn a person to Hell. But that people’s own choice of defying God’s rules would, right after death, make them realize they had condemned themselves to everlasting separation from Him. One unrepented mortal sin is enough to do that. But 1,000 repented mortal sins won’t chain them in Hell.
For instance, pro-abortion leader Bernard Nathanson, M.D., personally was involved in tens of thousands of permissive abortions in the twentieth century, but he repented and spent the rest of his life pleading to save preborn babies, even from his deathbed in 2011 when stricken with cancer.
Unless Nathanson still concealed very different dispositions in his mind and soul, it’d be reasonable to think he left this Earth in good standing spiritually.
But what about people who defiantly not only choose evils for themselves but also try to impose evils on entire states and nations? In other words, people with political power and the institutions that can back them up, including media and medicine. Evils to a degree and extent that it’s hard to find an equivalent outside of Communist or National Socialist dictatorships.
Moreover, these politicians reveling in practicing and imposing serious evil may be prominently identified as Roman Catholic or with a Catholic background, including President Joe Biden, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, and Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs.
Everyone knows that such deformities as transgenderism, recently added to the list of serious evils either dating back to the twentieth century, like permissive abortion, or more recently, like “gay marriage,” are gravely wrong if practiced personally and/or trying to force on others.
Being degenerate like this likely will find praise in degenerate dominant media, but nothing’s more outdated than last week’s secular newspaper.
It’s not a New York Times editor who stands at the gates of Heaven to determine who may enter but St. Peter, whose checklist may be the very opposite of what a Times editor would use if it ever were possible for him to usurp St. Peter as gatekeeper.
Some workers in the realm of left-wing religious sentimentalism may use false advertising to try to mislead politicians hoping to be misled, but there always have been false preachers who would lead others into a ditch.
Is it really morally acceptable for Joe Biden to promote and fund millions of permissive abortions and impose other moral aberrations yet claim to be a practicing Catholic?
Some false counselors in the religious realm may place more emphasis on, say, worshiping a “good Democrat” agenda than truly good morality. But that’s why people are expected to have reliably morally informed consciences — not “conscience” meaning to do what they’d like, but that enables them to reject false shepherds.

Time Is Not On Their Side

The way that depravity sits on its throne today, a person might think King Evil ruled this way forever, instead of having devised sexual mutilation of children only yesterday, and accompanying evils not much longer ago. Although this kind of milieu also can go back to pagan times that Christianity supposedly had overcome.
Governors Newsom and Hobbs, for instance, should realize they’re frolicking in monstrous sin that objectively merits Hell, no matter how much they and their enablers try to think otherwise.
We can’t look into their souls to see how much their actions are motivated by remorseless power politics, disordered thinking, pride, and/or other factors including the confusions of a toxic culture.
What is plain is the disastrous Big Lie of their swallowing poison while claiming it’s vitamins, and trying to force the filth down everyone else’s throat, too.
Biden, Pelosi, Newsom, Hobbs, and their gang might ponder what it would be like to be chained to the desert floor in Furnace Creek not for 10,000 years or 100,000 but forever. And instead to spend forever not on the desert floor of Furnace Creek but in the abyss of Hell.
Tough words. But a necessary warning of reality for those trying to cushion their ill ease with deceptions. It’s amazing how time will and does fly.
Fifty more years will be gone before they know it. Actuarially Biden and Pelosi will long have gone to their graves after being informed just after death of their fitting everlasting reward. And if they’re still on the face of this Earth, Newsom and Hobbs won’t be for much longer.
Around the world, modern communications tell us of unusually and increasingly bad conditions.
It has never been Paradise on the face of this Earth since Paradise itself ended. But might we sense in the advent of multiplying grave evils these days — being passed off as great blessings — that God’s patience is about to end?
Life is dangerous enough in a nuclear-armed world when Biden sleepily nods and mumbles in the Oval Office while heads of state struggle to contain themselves in his presence. And what about heads of state who aren’t in the White House to be polite, but who glower and look for their chance from thousands of miles away?
And that’s purely on the natural level. What about a just God above it all who sees evil, degenerate leaders in the “democracies” as well as elsewhere stubbornly strutting about arrogantly and boasting and bragging of how many innocent people they can try to shove into Hell?
Time is not on their side to spit without ceasing at their Creator and His creation.

Now more than ever, vehicles like The Wanderer are needed for clarification and guidance on the issues of the day.

Catholic, conservative, orthodox, and loyal to the Magisterium have been this journal’s hallmarks for five generations. God willing, our message will continue well into this century and beyond.

Last week, Kamala Harris became the first vice president in U.S. history to make a public visit to an abortion clinic.
